The top teams win their league matches on the third day


New Delhi, August 27: Har Hockey Academy, Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy, Pritam Seawatch Hockey Academy, SAI Bal and Republican Sports Club won their pool matches on the third day of the Khelo India Junior Women’s Hockey League III (Phase 2) here on Sunday.

Salute Hockey Academy lost the first game of the day, from Group A, handing SAI Shakti a 5-0 virtual victory.

The second match of the day of Group A saw Har Hockey Academy defeat Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy by a score of 3-1. Kajal Malik (14 minutes), Pinky (29 minutes) and Ishika (40 minutes) each scored from penalties to give Har Hockey Academy a safe lead. Namneet Kaur (32 minutes) scored the only goal for the Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy.

Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy beat Citizen Hockey XI 10-1 in their third Group A match of the day. The goals of the Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy were scored by Chillima Chanu (3′, 19′), Sonam (7′, 44′), Hoda Khan (28′), Sanskrit Sarwan (36′), Anchal Sahu (d. 43′), and Gormill Core (54″, 56″, 60″). The only goal for the Citizen Hockey XI was scored by Megha (3′).

Nandini Valmiki (27′), Tanu Shorensangbam (33′, 57′) and Meenakshi Pandey (54′) scored the goals for the Republican Sports Club. Sushma (44 minutes) scored a goal for Bhaji Bahlo Hockey Academy Bhagta, but to no avail.
