New Delhi, August 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised the people for participating in the government’s initiative ‘Har Ghar Tiranga abhiyaan’ and said that it was because of the people’s efforts that it became ‘Har Mann Tiranga abhiyaan’.

Addressing the 104th episode of his monthly radio show “Man Ki Baat”, the Prime Minister said that on August 15, the country witnessed the power of “Sapka Prayas” (Everyone’s Effort).

He said, “The efforts of all citizens have turned ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ into ‘Har Mann Tiranga Abhiyan’. Many records were also set during this campaign. Citizens bought Tricolors in millions of dollars.”

Prime Minister Modi said that about 1.5 crore tricolors were sold through 1.5 lakh post offices.

“By this, our workers and weavers, especially the women too, have earned a crore rupees. And this time, citizens have set a new record in posting selfies using the tricolor. Last year and till August 15, about five crore citizens posted selfies with the flag Tricolor Modi said: “Three colours. This year, that figure also crossed Rs 10 crore.”

Speaking of other campaigns, PM Modi said that the invocation of the spirit of patriotism “Meri mate, mera desh” is in full swing in the country.

“In the month of September there will be a campaign to collect soil from every house in every village in the country. The sacred soil of the country will be deposited in thousands of amrit kalash,” he said.

“At the end of October, thousands will arrive in the country’s capital, Delhi, with the Amrit Kalash Yatra. The Amrit Vatika in Delhi will be built only from this soil. I am sure that the efforts of every citizen will make this campaign a success.” He said so.

Discussing the potential of the province’s younger generation, the prime minister said that sports is one area where young people are constantly achieving new successes.

He also congratulated the players for winning 26 medals at the World University Games held in China.

He said, “India gave its best performance ever in these Games. Our players won 26 medals, 11 of which were gold. The country would be happy to know that even if we add all the medals won in all the Games.” “The World University Games that have been held since 1959, this number reaches 18 only. In all these decades only 18, while this time our players won 26 medals,” Modi said.
