At that time, 108 emergency services have come on alert mode to prevent an emergency from happening in the Narendra Modi stadium filled with a crowd of one and a half lakh.

A team of 108 has made an action plan to meet any emergency during the India-Pakistan World Cup match to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

108 will be on alert mode regarding the high voltage match of India-Pakistan. Speaking to News18 Gujarati, 108 Emergency Service Operations Head Satish Patel said that it is planned to have double 108 ambulances present at the Narendra Modi Stadium for the India-Pakistan match than the routine matches. That means there will be 12 ambulances and 60 thousand staff including EMTs, pilot supervisors and managers inside the stadium. Apart from this, 10 to 12 locations around the stadium including Sabarmati, Jhundal, Ranip, Wadaj, Subhash Bridge, Meghaninagar will also be on alert mode.

He further states that, ‘If an emergency happens outside the stadium, 108 ambulances can reach the scene quickly even from outside. 108 staff will be deployed at the stadium to attend to all kinds of emergencies. As many as 91 emergency incidents took place in the Narendra Modi Stadium in the last match. In which mostly cases of fainting, body ache, headache, blood pressure problem were reported.

He says, ‘At the time of the match between India and Pakistan, as more than one and a half lakh public are present, there is a possibility that the emergency event will be around 250. In case of any major emergency, arrangements have been made to call 108 ambulances from nearby districts like Gandhinagar, Mehsana.
