Shah Rukh Khan will be provided with Y Plus security, an increased threat after the success of Pathan and Jaawan
MUMBAI: Actor Shah Rukh Khan has been given Y+ protection after his two back-to-back hits Jaawan and Pathan this year, keeping in view the threat perception. As part of security, the King Khan of Bollywood will have six police commandos as his bodyguards at all times. The armed bodyguards will be from the Special Protection Unit of the Maharashtra Police.
Shah Rukh Khan will be guarded across India and will be armed with MP-5 machine guns, AK-47 assault rifles and Glock pistols in anticipation of a threat to Shah Rukh Khan. His residence which is named Mannat will also be guarded by four armed policemen at all times.
However the actor himself will pay for his security. In India, a private security agency cannot be equipped with sophisticated weapons, hence it has to be the security provided by the police.
