Moscow, August 28: The Russian Investigative Committee confirmed that Wagner’s chief Yevgeny Prigozhin died in a plane crash in the Tver region near Moscow.

On Sunday, the commission added that the identities of all 10 people killed in the plane crash matched the flight manifest.

“As part of the investigation into the plane crash in the Tver region, molecular genetic examinations were completed. Based on their results, the identities of all 10 victims were established, and they correspond to the list mentioned in the flight manifest.” The commission wrote on a telegram.

An Embraer private jet en route from Moscow to St. Petersburg crashed in the Tver region last Wednesday, killing all 10 people on board, according to the country’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, Xinhua news agency.

According to a list of names published by Russia’s Federal Agency for Air Transport, the commander of the private military company Wagner, Rigozhin, was among the 10 victims.
