MP Election 2023: BJP approaches Election Commission against Priyanka, Congress’s problems may increase; Know the matter
Jagran News Network, Indore. A complaint has been filed before the Election Commission against Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi. It is said that during the general meeting in Mandla, MP on October 12, 2023, Priyanka Gandhi has clearly tempted every student to give Rs 500 to 1500 every month.
He said that the above scheme will be implemented if the Congress government is formed in the state, but it is not clear whether this scheme will be for the students of private schools or for the students of government schools. This tempting announcement has been made without any concrete plan just to influence the voting.
This complaint has been presented before the Commission by former BJP Law Cell City Convenor Advocate Pankaj Wadhwani. In the complaint, he has said that the news of the said announcement of Priyanka Gandhi was published on the front page of the newspapers on 13 October 2023.
This is a way to wrongly influence the voters of the state. In the complaint, Wadhwani has said that making such announcement during the Representation of the People Act and the Model Code of Conduct or directly declaring financial benefits is prima facie a violation of the Model Code of Conduct. The petition demands action against Gandhi.
