Maharashtra News Sharad Pawar Takes A Dig At Ajit Pawar Will Become CM Only In Dreams
Maharashtra News: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar said on Thursday that Ajit Pawar’s ambition of becoming the Chief Minister of Maharashtra will remain just a ‘dream’. Taking a dig at his nephew, Sharad Pawar said, “Ajit Pawar becoming CM is just a dream, it will never happen in reality.” Ajit Pawar, who separated from NCP, is currently the Deputy CM of Maharashtra.
Sharad Pawar was asked about the ongoing controversy over various political upheavals in NCP. Which also included the July rebellion, when Ajit Pawar split the party and joined the Shiv Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party coalition government as the third partner. 64-year-old Ajit Pawar has already made his ambitions clear on several occasions publicly that he wants ‘promotion’ after assuming the post of Deputy CM and is very keen to become the CM of the state.
Ajit Pawar had said this about his ambition
Subsequently, on a few occasions, Ajit Pawar also adopted a pragmatic stance, saying that this would be possible only if he could meet the magical ‘numbers game’ (supporting MLAs) to claim the CM post. However, Sharad Pawar’s latest statement may prove to be a big blow to his nephew’s ambitions and his staunch supporters. Because his staunch supporters are also advocating making him the next, if not the future Chief Minister.
Ajit Pawar’s posters are appearing in these cities
In fact, in recent times, banners and posters declaring Ajit Pawar as the ‘future CM’ have often been put up in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and other places. There has been no response to the statement from Ajit Pawar group yet. Even though both groups of NCP are engaged in a legal battle before the Election Commission for control of the 25-year-old party founded by Sharad Pawar.
