The first flight to facilitate the repatriation of Indian nationals from Israel took off from Ben Gurion Airport late on Thursday evening, carrying 212 people living in the war-torn region, which arrived in India on Friday morning.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Parliament President Roberta Metzola arrived in Israel amid the war. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin also arrived in Tel Aviv on Friday. On reaching Tel Aviv, Lloyd Austin said that America’s support for Israel is strong.
