A forest worker was suspended by the forest department after a video of him doing illegal lion darshan in Babarkot Mines area in Jafarabad range under Palitana Shetrunji division.

Babarkot Mines area is also home to a large number of natives. Here a video of a forest worker giving illegal lion darshan went viral on social media. The forest department has immediately dismissed Dhanji Chauhan, a protection worker, from his duty for illegal lion sighting. However, so far no action has been taken against the youth including Vanamitra.

It is worth mentioning here that due to the fact that the lion is in Schedule One, the Forest Department is keeping a lot of vigilance in this case as well.
