– Faisal Patel Vaijapur: 12 people were killed and 18 injured in a collision between two vehicles on the Mumbai-Nagpur Samriddhi highway in Vaijapur late at night. The death toll in the accident is feared to increase.
According to the information received, there was a collision between a tempo traveler and a truck in front of Jambargaon toll booth on Samriddhi highway at 1.30 am. Around 12 people traveling in the Traveler died in this accident. All the deceased are said to be residents of Nashik city.
It was said that all the passengers in the Tempo Traveler had gone for Sailani Baba’s darshan. He was returning to Nashik again on Saturday. On the way, a truck parked near Jambargaon in Vaijapur taluka was hit by a speeding Tempo Traveler. It is estimated that 18 people who were sitting in the traveler were seriously injured in this incident.
As soon as the information about the incident came to light, the police reached the spot. Those injured in the accident have been admitted to a hospital in Vaijapur. Police are investigating the matter.
